AudioSuite uses Intel code and modules provided by Synthigence Corp. The initial AudioSuite installation requires that you first download and install the Synthigence programs SI Works and SI App, then download and install AudioSuite.
Once the initial installation has been done updates will be relatively small files (About 1.5 Mb) that should take only a minute or two to install.
1. Download SIworksdev.exe (5 Mbytes) and install.
2. Download SIApp.exe (6.5 Mbytes) and install.
3. Download AudioSuiteInstall.exe (4.4 Mbytes) and install. Reboot the computer after installing AudioSuite.
NB: SI Works and SI App must be installed in the default folders suggested by the installer.
The password for both SI Works and SI App is si10 (lower case). AudioSuite does not ask for a password.
IMPORTANT: All three programs must be installed for AudioSuite to work.
After Installing - Connect a microphone and loudspeaker to your sound card.
When all three programs have been installed check that AudioSuite runs without generating any error messages. If the program loads OK adjust the loudspeaker volume and click on WB to generate a wide band noise. If you do not hear anything you will need to check the Windows sound card settings and ensure that the sound card output is going to your loudspeaker. Next, click on the spectrum analyzer START button and check that the frequency spectrum is displayed on the graph. If not, check the Recording settings for the sound card or try changing the display settings (SCALE & RANGE)..
AudioSuite can be uninstalled with the uninstall option in Start /Program Files/AudioSuite or via the Control Panel. It is not necessary to uninstall AudioSuite when updating.
Do not uninstall the Synthigence programs (SI Works & SI App) via the Windows Control Panel because uninstalling them also removes two system files that are used by other programs on the PC and you would have to re-install some of them. To recover disk space rather delete the Synthigence folder in the Program Files directory. This will prevent accidental erasure of the two system files. Then use Ccleaner (available on the Free Downloads page) to fix the registry. If you should accidentally uninstall the Synthigence programs from the Windows Control panel click on Start /Help and Support/System Restore to restore the system or contact us for assistance.
SI Works is a programming utility that allows you to test the Synthigence modules without writing any computer code.
SI App allows you to use the Synthigence modules for your own programs. A knowledge of computer programming is necessary and support is limited. Acoustimed does not provide support for the Synthigence software.
AudioSuite is a well documented end product that is relatively easy to use and support is available from info@acoustimed.co.za
